I’ve worked with Joan Levine Russell for more than a few years now, primarily while in her Russell Engineering & Land Planning hat. I’ve always known that she is first and foremost an incredibly talented artist, but haven’t had the opportunity to do much for the artist Joan until now. When she asked me to put together a postcard for her upcoming show with Sandra Butler – well, I jumped. I’ve been lucky enough to snoop around her studio and see the work in progress.

Really these were just too amazing to keep quiet about, and I’m not talking about a bad 80’s band.

Mike Brieger, a local metal smith & artisan, has outdone himself again. Lucky us! We now have 4 of his amazing steel birds keeping us company all day at the office.

They are nothing short of art. They are filled with motion and energy. Each has its own personality. And oh yeah, they do successfully hold back our 50 lb curtains too. Thank you Mike.

Mike is a master at crafting creatures from steel, whether it be birds, fantasy florals or boats. There is no limit to his imagination. You can get your own by calling Mike at 970.769.0682
